motivation
An introduction to the theory of motivation and a game to highlight what motivation means for each of us.
Outcome: The group have a higher degree of awareness of how motivating their practice is using three simple measures. In short, they know how to better motivate others.
building rapport and trust
Building relationships is at the heart of all good communication and this session introduces some concepts as to why building relationships is important and how to do it, both through sharing theory models and taking part in a card trick!
Outcome: Individuals will have a better understanding of the theories of rapport and trust and be aware of what they can do to build relationships quickly and more effectively.
active listening
Coaches are good at talking, but how good are they at listening and why should they? Using practical exercises, this session builds up techniques that improve listening skills.
Outcomes: Everyone will have a personal awareness of how good they are at listening and take away some techniques to improve.
effective questioning
An introduction to how to use questioning and the spectacular results you can achieve through improving your questioning techniques.
Outcomes: Questioning is seen as something that can be used to improve relationships, break down barriers, understand how to motivate others and set challenging goals.
providing feedback
How and when feedback is provided is often a subject that is taken for granted. This session examines the purpose of feedback and gives practical examples of how to make feedback the most effective method of communication you will ever use.
Outcomes: The group take away simple theories that enable feedback to have incredible impact and an awareness of the barriers that they may have to giving great feedback.
